According to recent research by IDC, market research firm, unlike smartphones, the wearable smart device sector continues to grow at an enormous pace. In the third quarter of this year, companies managed to sell 27.15 million devices, which represents a growth of 45.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to the report, the market for smart wearable devices shows no signs of slowing down.
In fact, market research firm IDC believes that wearable devices will reach 200 million units in the year 2023. Part of the growing interest in these devices is their growing applications in our daily routine. These devices will play an increasingly important role in health, biometrics, security and payment monitoring.
The interesting thing is that the so-called wearable devices that do not support third-party applications have also increased their number. The total shipments of these devices are 20.97 million units, which represents an increase of 38.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
