    Facebook acquires PlayGiga cloud services developer

    Facebook acquired the emerging video game services company PlayGiga, which is based in the Spanish capital, Madrid, for a sum of 70 million euros. The deal was confirmed by a Facebook spokesperson.
    PlayGiga has provided video game cloud services to smartphone providers and other groups in Italy, Argentina, Chile, and Spain, and is planning to launch its services in the Middle East as well. It is reported that this is the second acquisition of Facebook related to video games in recent times, after its acquisition of Beat Games studio.
