There are many shopping centers and apartment complexes that have charging stations for electric cars and parking spaces. The only problem is that you need to search for it, and since it's not very popular yet,
this could be a problem. However, Volkswagen may have solved this problem by using robots designed to charge electric cars.
The prestigious German automaker has unveiled a mobile charging robot that can actually search for and charge parked electric cars. This means that in theory, you can stand anywhere you want,
then summon the robot to your site instead of searching for it. In fact, this means this robot can switch from one vehicle to another as needed, rather than searching for traditional fixed electrical charging stations.
According to Volkswagen Development division director Mark Möller, he stated: “The mobile charging robot will mark a revolution when it comes to charging in various parking facilities, such as multi-story car parks,
parking spaces, and underground parking spaces because we bring the charging station to the car and not the opposite.
By doing this, we make almost every car park provide freight service, without making any complicated infrastructure changes. ”
However, Volkswagen's charging robot is still in the stage of imaginative design. This means it is still not clear whether the company plans to launch it in the future or not, so we will have to wait and see what will happen eventually, but at the same time, it looks promising.
