Artificial intelligence Google DeepMind discovers breast cancer more accurately than experts

When it comes to detecting certain diseases, the diagnosis can be wrong because humans make mistakes. For example, when it comes to screening for breast cancer, current methods actually have very high rates of misdiagnoses. Although it is best to be safe, the wrong diagnosis can lead to stress on the patient and unnecessary medical interventions.
This is where the use of AI is appropriate, and according to Google, the DeepMind team has developed an AI that can detect breast cancer by scanning with a small percentage of error compared to experts. This AI was fed with examinations and data from patients in both the United States and the UK,
where it was eventually trained enough to detect breast cancer at a lower error rate compared to human experts.
What this means is that in the future, artificial intelligence can become the new method used to detect health problems such as breast cancer, as reducing faulty diagnoses can help save a patient from stress, as well as the possibility of early detection of the disease. This is not the first time that Google's DeepMind AI has been used to screen for breast cancer.
Google is not alone in this area, as other companies such as IBM are also working on similar AI.
