A study found that facial recognition systems had racial biases

You might assume that because computers do not have feelings, they are chosen according to strict rules, out of bias and racism. However, computers are an essential tool and do what the people who programmed them say, and as a result, sometimes perhaps by chance, developers can stoke their bias.
In a recent study by the U.S. government, it has found that when it comes to facial recognition systems, it tends to be biased against people based on color and gender, as it misidentifies people of color more than white people.
For example, the study found that Microsoft's facial recognition technology also suffers from the same problem. Microsoft has since said it is reviewing the report, and we hope it will adjust its face recognition system to address all problems.
This is not the first time that technology has been accused of bias. For example, a while ago, it became clear that the algorithm used in the Apple Card offers men a higher credit limit compared to women.
