Huawei will ship 100 million 5G phones in China within the next year

With the end of this year approaching, all eyes are focused on the year 2020, which is described as the year of the comprehensive adoption of 5G technology. China is expected to become the largest market for 5G networks, and according to a new report, it is possible that Huawei alone will ship up to 100 million 5G phones in its domestic market.
Mr. Shoichi Tosaka, who is CEO of Japanese company Taiyo Yuden Co specializing in the manufacture of capacitors for smartphones, revealed that his company has received annual 5G terminal orders and expects orders for 5G phone components in the coming weeks as well.
Huawei and ZTE are believed to be the leading customers of 5G capacitors and Shoichi Tosaka expects that Huawei alone will ship 100 million 5G phones next year. As Taiyo Yuden Co is considered one of the largest manufacturers of capacitors in the world, it is quite clear that it has very good data on which to base its forecasts.
Huawei recently expanded its 5G phone portfolio and is expected to offer more low-cost 5G phones in an attempt to attract more buyers. Only time will determine whether Huawei will actually be able to charge 100 million 5G phones or not.
