Safari does a great job of blocking tracking of users on the web

Although Safari may not necessarily be the browser that is richer in features, one of the things Apple has done correctly is to provide this browser with a feature known as “smart tracking blocking”, and this feature is designed to prevent cookies On the web, you can track users across different websites that in turn prevent advertisers from creating a profile about you.
Now it turns out that Safari is actually doing a very good job, according to a report by The Information, which says that “since Apple introduced smart tracking blocking in September 2017, and with subsequent updates last year, advertisers have lost a great deal of the ability to target people in the Safari browser based on their browsing habits with cookies, which is the most used tracking technology. ”
However, although this may be a win for users, it may be bad for websites that rely heavily on ads to get revenue. This is because advertisers may be less willing to pay for advertising that appears on Mac or iOS because it will be difficult for them to create targeted ads. Advertisers have previously expressed their dissatisfaction with this feature,
but when it comes to Apple, it is not ready to give up protecting the privacy of its users to satisfy the advertisers.
