Apple plans to order a group of OLED screens from the Chinese company BOE with the possibility of making this company specialized in the manufacture of screens it is the second-largest supplier of OLED screens in the year 2021.
It is worth mentioning that these rumors come from sources in South Korea and report that Apple is looking to request about 45 million BOE OLED screens that will be used on upcoming iPhones in 2021.
This will make BOE the second largest supplier of OLED screens to Apple after Samsung, which will continue to provide Apple with most of the OLED screens, and will display LG Display to the third place, while Japan Display will provide Apple with small OLED screens for smartwatch Apple Watch.
Apple may need more OLED displays in 2020 if rumors about the iPhone 12 Series all are true. But it is not clear whether the OLED screens manufactured by BOE will make their way to the upcoming iPhones in 2020.
Before concluding, we would like to point out that the BOE company supplies Huawei with the screens used in the Huawei Mate Series phones series, and other companies.
