Huawei is determined to reduce its dependence on Google in 2020 to improve its performance in the market

Earlier today, Huawei revealed to us that it managed to sell up to 240 million smartphones in 2019 despite pressure from the U.S. government thanks to the strong performance of Huawei P Series and Huawei Mate Series, whose sales have improved by 50 percent on annual basis. Despite the obstacles encountered in 2019, it seems that Huawei is determined to continue the road in 2020.
Huawei Chairman Xu Zhijun revealed that the company’s goal in 2020 is to develop its Huawei Mobile Services and applications package as a replacement for Google’s Google Mobile Services package so that you don’t have to rely on partners from external countries.
The reason behind Huawei's performance declined in the past twelve months is the lack of applications and services of Google in its new smartphones, which is not attractive to customers in major western markets such as Europe.
The company also revealed to us that it was able to sell more than two million units of the Huawei Watch GT2 smartwatch in just three months from the launch of this watch, as well as more than a million units of Huawei FreeBuds 3 headphones in one month. Moreover, the Chinese company has also revealed to us that the Huawei Health app currently has more than 400 monthly users from 170 countries and regions.
