MediaTek unveils MediaTek Helio G70 processor for economical gaming phones

MediaTek unveiled a new processor that mainly targets medium and economic gaming phones. This new processor, called MediaTek Helio G70, will be built using the 12 nm technology that was built in the current MediaTek Helio G90 processor, but it requires fewer resources.
The new MediaTek Helio G70 processor includes two Cortex-A75 series at 2GHz, in addition to six Cortex-A55 cores. The current MediaTek Helio G90 processor has the same architecture, but it uses the newer Cortex-A76 cores, which are faster than Cortex-A75 cores at the same frequency.
However, the new MediaTek Helio G70 processor only supports eMMC 5.1 memory, which means that phones that use the MediaTek Helio G70 processor will not have UFS storage.
When it comes to graphics, the new MediaTek Helio G70 will feature the 820Mhz Mali-G52 2EEMC graphics processor. Moreover, this processor can support a screen with a resolution of up to FullHD with an aspect ratio of 21: 9.
CorePilot is responsible for providing consistent performance even during long gaming sessions by controlling the CPU frequency and GPU frequency. The voice on Wakeup activates digital assistants while using the least amount of energy.
The MediaTek Helio G70 image processor supports one 48-megapixel camera or two 16-megapixel cameras knowing that the second camera can be a wide-angle or telephoto or macro camera. Aside from that, there is also a dedicated NeuroPilot for AI, including recognizing elements and scenes and improving the effectiveness of the fuzzy background on images.
Besides memory, another thing that may limit the use of this processor in medium phones is the recording of FullHD videos at a rate of 60 frames per second. However, good things like digital image stabilization and shutter correction are included in this processor.
MediaTek says the new MediaTek Helio G70 will be used on phones that cost around $ 145.
